Llibreria Surrealista starts in 1979, aside with the Museo Dalí Theatre of Figueres.
The designs that Dalí made for the the decoration of the store, where adapted to the space disposable in the place. The result is appreciated this days, where the sobriety of the store is mixed up with the genial artist contributions, like the girl's patent leather shoes in the counter legs; the two big soffits were spoon-lamps iluminate a mauve silk background, or the eyes that seem to control it all, from the front of the counter. It all transports us to the oniric and surreal world created by Dalí.
The name of our store might give the wrong idea that our sales are based only on books nothing further from it. The initial offer that included some books, posters, postcards and some t-shirts, was enlarged and extended with a wide variety of products like perfums, jewlery, china pieces, ceramics, stationers, gifts, sculptures and many other objects related with Dali's art work.
